- A "User": Someone who has registered for an account with Showzone, either for a Paid or Free Version.
- An "Administrator": An individual who manages presentations involving external or internal speakers within a organization.
- An "Organization Contact Person": The primary contact for Showzone within an organization.
- A member of an "Audience": An individual who anonymously engages with a Show on showzone.app.
- A "Visitor": Someone who visits any of our websites, emails us, participates in surveys, or interacts with us in any other way, including using parts of our services, without having a registered account with Showzone.
What data do we collect?
The data we collect varies based on your role and interaction with us. Here are the types of data we might gather:
- Contact Details: This includes your name, email address, and billing address.
- Interaction Information: This pertains to details regarding your use of our Services and system activities, such as log-on and log-off times, your history with Showzone, technical data like page response times, download errors, personal preferences, as well as your interactions with customer service.
- Device Information: Data such as your IP address, user agent, browser settings, operating system, platform, and screen resolution. For instance, we might use an IP address from your browser or device to determine your approximate location.
- Third-Party Information: We may collect data from third-party sites and platforms, in compliance with their respective terms. This information, which could include details from your public profiles, helps us enhance our services and facilitate more relevant communications, notably for marketing.
- Additional Information: This encompasses any other information you may choose to provide when creating or modifying your Account or communicating with Showzone. Examples include support requests, reviews, or any other information you submit through our websites.

Payment related data
We utilize Stripe, a third-party vendor with level 1 PCI compliance, for processing credit card payments. We do not store or handle any payment-related data beyond what is outlined here. We may collect limited information like your email address and transaction history. When processing payments, Stripe provides us with minimal information about you, such as a unique token for future purchases using stored data, your card type, expiry date, last four digits, IP address, and VAT number (if applicable). Stripe controls and is accountable for the personal data they collect. Their use of your data is guided by their privacy policies, and we maintain data processing agreements with Stripe.
Third-Party Service Providers
We engage third-party companies or individuals as service providers or business partners to process your Account to support our business.
Google OAuth
We utilize Google OAuth for account creation purposes on our platform. This service, provided by Google LLC, facilitates the process of user registration and login using Google Account details. This streamlines the registration process for our users and aids in maintaining the security and privacy of their data.
The data we obtain from Google via OAuth solely includes your basic profile information such as your name and email address. This information is only used to create a user account on our platform. We ensure that this data is handled in strict compliance with data protection laws.
As a company based in Switzerland, we adhere to Swiss data protection laws. Furthermore, all of the user data we collect, including the data obtained through Google OAuth, is stored on secure servers located in Germany. We abide by the stringent data protection regulations that apply in this region, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We want to be clear that we do not share any data obtained through Google OAuth with third parties without obtaining your explicit approval. We respect your privacy and believe in transparency, and therefore we only use your data as set out in this privacy policy.
it is crucial to remember that by choosing to log in via Google OAuth, you agree to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We encourage all our users to review these documents to understand how Google collects, processes, and uses personal data.
For how long is my data stored?
You can delete your presentations and results anytime when logged into our Application. If you wish to delete your entire Account, please send a request to contact@showzone.app. We will promptly fulfill your request within a maximum of 30 days. If you are part of a company account as a Team Member and want to deactivate your account or remove your personal data, please contact the Administrator. While we are here to assist, requests for our help should come through the Administrator.
Other situations when your data may be processed, shared or disclosed
- During Showzone's Business Changes: If Showzone undergoes significant changes such as mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcy, reorganization, or sale of assets, some or all of your personal data may be shared or transferred under standard confidentiality agreements.
- Aggregated or De-identified Data: We might use or disclose data that has been aggregated or de-identified for various business-related purposes, such as with potential partners for business or research purposes.
- To Uphold Our Rights and Safety: We may disclose any data to protect and defend Showzone's rights, property, or safety, as well as that of third parties. This includes enforcing contracts or policies and preventing fraud or security issues.
- To Comply with Laws: We may disclose any data if legally required by laws, regulations, or court orders, or as requested by a government or regulatory authority.
Where is my data transferred and stored?
By default, Showzone’s customer data is hosted in the EU (Germany).
Your rights
- Right to be Informed: You have the right to understand how we process your data. We ensure this through our Privacy Policy, additional information on our website, and by answering your queries.
- Right to Access Your Data: You can request a copy of your personal data by emailing contact@showzone.app.
- Right to Rectification: You can correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data. Use your Account's management features for data modifications. If you cannot adjust certain data via your Account, email your correction request to contact@showzone.app.
- Right to Erasure: You can request deletion of your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, or if you have withdrawn your consent. Email this request to contact@showzone.app.
- Right to Restrict Data Processing: If you believe we are using your data unlawfully or that your information is incorrect, you can request us to limit or stop the processing of your data. Email this request to contact@showzone.app.
- Control Account Service Settings: You can access and manage your Account data by logging into your Account.
We will respond to your requests promptly, within a maximum of 30 days. Please note that Showzone may be legally required to retain certain personal data, irrespective of your request.
Age Restrictions
Our Services are intended for organizations and individuals who are at least sixteen years old. By creating an Account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
Moreover, our Services are not designed for children under 13 years of age, nor for those whose age might make the processing of their personal data illegal or require parental consent according to relevant laws.
